Ive started collecting or aiming to get a full Batman collection of the graphic novels, i thought since i love the movies and the characters so much its worthwhile reading up on it all. To sum it up Batman is fucking awesome. |

@Faro- What version did you read this time? @Matt- I have a friend on another forum who is really into Batman and she's read all the books. Do you think they're as good as the movies? |

Erm its hard to say either way each one has its own merits and i like them for the different things they do. Like the movies you get to see things in motion and it sort of brings it to life in a way that the graphic novels etc can't do. The graphic novels are like mini movies in a way and there is loads of them, telling different sides of a character and such, which is impossible for a movie series to do, plus it has more depth in some ways although i really enjoy the movies well the Tim Burton and the Nolan films but the books go that extra bit further. Im still quite fresh in reading all the Batman stories so i think over time it will overtake the movies. A good middle ground is the animated series which for any Batman fan is a much watch it is very faithful to the source material and stuff like batman mask of the phantasm is up there with the likes of the Dark Knight. That actually reminds me one thing that really helps the Batman films and animated series over the graphic novels is the music it really sets the mood to how Batman should be. This is a good example |

I'll give the books and animated a shot! Sounds like fun!! I just finished Charming the Prince. HILARIOUS!!! And I just started the 3rd book in the Midnight Breeds series- Midnight Awakening. I think it will be just as good if not better than the first two. |
