Ive had mixed feelings on the final fantasy games i like the cutscenes and style of 7 and 8 and also what they are doing with versus 13, i just cant get past the gameplay its been pretty much the same in all jrpgs.

I always hated RPGs until I played Fallout 3. Granted it's a lot different than FF. What JRPGs?

Jrpg is japanese role playing games its what final fantasy and most other rpgs from japan and that area come under. The thing i dont like about them is the turn based nature of the combat i can understand some thought goes into it but i prefer stuff thats real time like what Fallout 3 is and stuff like Dragon Age its just more entertaining.

Yea I agree. Fallout 3 has V.A.T.S. which isn't exactly turn-based but it's something similar. And you can use it if you want too, or never hit the button once. It comes in handy though at times. But the freedom of rpg's is a very attractive thing.

You ever played Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls IV? That is the game before Fallout. Very much like Fallout, but set Final Fantasy esque. That's an epic game. So much to do.

Oblivion is good for the amount of stuff you can do and find in the game world, the story is a little weak but running around doing your own thing is a ton of fun. Playing as a thief or a stealth class and robbing peoples houses or shops while everyone is asleep is cool.

Or putting poison apples in the guard quaters then coming back after a few minutes and they are all dead.

Yea I have Oblivion, but after playing Fallout, I just can't play it. It's ugly, and the controls are horrible. I bought it because I am a HUGE Fallout fan, and there are tons of similarities, but it's no Fallout, not even close.

Matt if you have played, and liked Oblivion, you really owe it to yourself to pick up Fallout 3! You'll love it!
